Luxury Shopping Brand
The North Shore is a rebranding of an existing shopping mall in the northern part of Chicago. The rebrand updates the wayfinding system to better facilitate navigation in vehicles and on foot.
Wayfinding
The new signage system makes use of a cool blue color to reflect the nearby great lake. The typography is custom lettering from the logo and is paired with a spaciously tracked serif typeface to give the sense of space in the outdoor mall.
Materials for the signage are stained concrete, blued steel, and glass. The glass gives the typography a place to sit while having the appearance of floating.
