Experience the Vastness*

As a sort of sequel to Grand Ampersand, I created a series of digital illustrations based on unfiltered thoughts as a journal of expression. These deisigns feature a strong aesthetic of black, white, red, and halftone grays meant to replicate the screen print medium. The project features 500 images with themes of typography, modernism, hands, music, and failure.

While Grand Ampersand and Vast Asterisk heavily feature typography, Vast Asterisk embraces the hand-drawn style that is often less common in digital artwork and typography. Special care is taken to reduce the clean edges and meticulous alignment of older works and develop an new style.
